  • Sally Erbe is beaming:  Brim finished her CDX at the Erie Kennel Club show! On to Utility! She is CH (Can) Hidalgo Brimwylf d'Avril, CDX, HSAdsc, MX, MXJ, MXF, OTDsd, STDc.
  • Pi got two legs on started A ducks with her first run ever (and on geese no less) resulting in a HIT. Thrilling!  She also finished her RATCHX5 the next week.  She is CH Coyote Run Lambda Lambda Lambda RA BN CA PT RATCHX5 RVC 2015- and there is a NW title in there but I don't remember it.  Congratulations Eva Raczka!
  • Josie Morell & her youngster are having fun - Valen had two forth places at the January SOTC obedience show earning his Beginner Novice Title on January 8th at nine months along with a Rally Novice leg score of 95.  He is now Aftershock Valiant Valen's Vision BN CGC.

August 2016

  • Pam & CB’s Rigel earned 2 legs towards HSa on sheep at the Rochester Collie Club Herding Trial. Not only did she earn 2 legs, on Saturday she was Reserve High in Trial and Sunday placed first in her class.
  • Storm (CH Timberwind's Storm in the Sky) earned her first triple Q and her Bronze Preferred Masters Standard title at the Ruff Riders agility trial in Cato, NY. Chase (CH Timberwind's True Sky Chaser) earned a Double Q the same day, making our Q rate for the day 5/5 - most epic agility day ever for Jeanne King!

July 2016

  • Club President Kim Vent: Our club held its first 2 day herding trial July 23 & 24 with many members and friends in attendance. Thanks to all members who came out to support the effort. The judge had loads of praise for our Tervs in their ability and accomplishment as well as our members supporting each other.  Thank you Susan for orchestrating the lunches each day, to scribes Bab, Rhonda, and Pam and to Barb and Bugsy for helping me with duck wrangling behind the scenes. Of course we are grateful to Nancy and Gwen for their teaching and management of the farm.
  • Kim & Mason and Myron & Innoue each earned their HT titles at our trial.  So fun to watch these teams in their herding debuts!  Lots of potential for future titles with these dogs.
  • Temptations Scared Fire CGC, HIC, HT aka ROYAL earned his PT at our trial. Nice going Bugsy!
  • Julie Symons:  Savvy completed her UD end of July making her a VCD3 and CH UDT (ABTC motto) dog!!!  I was so happy to get the UD and hadn’t even realized about the other 2 achievements. This will “retire” her in obedience as I have so many other things on my plate, including an untrained big puppy :)!!!
  • Dan Bostwick reports that Rigby earned her Excellent Standard title at the SOTC summer agility trial in July.  Also, Rigby and Dax both earned their Novice Trick Dog titles from www.domorewithyourdog.com in July.
  • Josie Morrell's youngster Aftershock Valiant Valen's Vision took group one placing in puppy show at Mohawk Valley Kennel Club August 12 !
  • Melanie Redford's Elsa was WB/BOW for a 3 point major in Bainbridge over the 4th July weekend.

June 2016

  • Sally Erbe & Beau finished his MACH (AKC Master Agility CH) and also his Herding Intermediate on Sheep! He is now MACH Woodlawn Oh You Handsome Beau, RE, HSAc, HIAs, MXB, MJS, MXF, CGC.
  • Sally’s been busy - Brim finished her MXF and her CKC Herding Started Ducks! She is Hidalgo Brimwylf d'Avril, CD, HSAsd, AX, MXJ, MXF. Since she is a US/Canadian "dual citizen" she is also CH Hidalgo Brimwylf d'Avril, CD, HT, HSd.
  • Barb Ziemba’s Hunter, "Orion Hunter in Quest of the Diamond Star" PT CGC earned Best of Breed on Sunday June 26 at the Genesee Valley Kennel Club Show in Henrietta. 
  • Nellie Tower’s Ivy, "Orion Dakini of Tao-Yin RN CGCA", was BOB with 2 points at Genesee Valley Kennel Club Show on Sat. June 25th in Henrietta, NY.
  • Josie Morell & Seifer earned their AKC Rally Novice title at the Genesee Valley Kennel Club trials on the 25th in Rochester.  Also known as Aftershock's Stonehenge Eclipse RN CGC.  The first title is always very special !
  • Melanie had fun in the ring: Ch Westcrofts Expecto Patronum NA,CGC entered the UKC world over the weekend of June 25th. He was best male of variety, best male and went on to best of winners and best of breed. A group 1 and a RBIS. His sister Elsa, Westcrofts Riddles in the dark IT was best female of variety and best female.
  • At the June 5th SOTC trial, Susan Clickner & BT completed the Rally Excellent title.  This beautiful 12 yr old girl is now CH Timberwinds Enchanted Dreams CDX AX AXJ XF RE HIC CGC APD FMX.
  • Cindy Graham and Laser "Sensation's Point of Light, RA PT OA NAJ OF CGC" got a Group 1 in Owner Handler at the Olean KC show in Dunkirk, NY  on June 5, 2016.  He also finished his Open Fast on March 4th at Countryside Agility.  
  • Deb Eldredge & Babe earned her RAT-S with a first place. She is now CH Sensation Coyote Grand Slam CD TD HSAdM OA OAJ CA RE RAT-S ASCA STDd

May 2016

  • Melanie Redford traveled to Newcastle, PA for the Memorial Day weekend and had success with 2 of her crew.  Elsa was BOS,BOW,WB for her first 2 points on Friday and RWB on Sunday.  Her cute Malinois Willow was BOB,BOW,WB for her first point on Saturday and BOB Sunday.
  • Dan, Rigby, and Dax went to SOTC's Summer Obedience Trial where the girls each picked up their fourth RAE leg.  There was a three-way tie between three Belgians in the Excellent class for third place with a score of 97 /100!  Dax took it with the fastest time, followed by a Belgian Malinois, and then Rigby.

May 2016 - ABTC National Specialty (South Sioux CIty, NE)

  • Coyote Run had a great time! Deb & Babe and the “C.R. Gunslingers” Obedience Team won 2nd place. Doc’s Rally Team also received a 2nd.  Babe was 3rd in Herding Titled.  Queezle was 2nd in Veteran Sweeps - 10+ yrs, then won Veterans 11+ (regular breed) & earned an Award of Merit. We had three dogs participate in the Top Ten Ceremony - Lynah & Queezle for Conformation and Doc for Herding.
  • From Gwen: our biggest news for the National this year is that Ginger, Spiritwind’s All The Right Moves, earned RHIT on ducks in the Two Rivers BTC Duck/Cattle trial on Friday, May 13, 2016 then RHIT in the Sheep trial and HIT on ducks in the Ducks/Cattle Trial on Saturday, May 14th in the ABTC trials.
  • Dan & Carey also made the trip to NE.  Dax had one 1st place and two 2nd place runs in her Novice Agility classes.  Both Rigby and Dax got double qualifications in Rally with scores of (Exc/Adv) 96/78 and 94/97, earning another RAE leg for each. We entered Brace conformation for the first time, and the girls were right on.  They did absolutely fantastic, and we got 3rd place and a lot of compliments. Most importantly I didn't get tangled in the leads, trip and fall, which I gather is the real objective of any Brace competition!
  • Ingrid Friedenson’s “Garbo” earned her Herding Started Course A Sheep title, and is now known as GCH Waldenmark’s Prada and Joy HSAds.

March / APril 2016

  • Melanie Redford is happy to share that Keane earned his NA (Novice Agility Standard) title April 9th at the Admiral Perry trials.
  • Dan Bostwick reports that Rigby and Dax both finished their RE (Rally Excellent) titles and got their first RAE (Rally Excellent/Advanced) legs at Salt City Cluster.  They both earned another RAE leg in Springfield, MA the following week.  Good teamwork!
  • Eva Raczka reports Pi had a couple of big and busy days at the Salt City cluster in Syracuse!  Pi finished her RA (Rally Advanced) title with a 1st & 2nd place. She also finished her BN (Beginner Novice) title with 2 second place legs. 

January 2016

  • New CDX for Susan Clickner and BT (CH Timberwinds Enchanted Dreams) at the SOTC obedience trial Jan. 10th, one month shy of BT’s 12th birthday.  BT loves the retrieving exercises in Open !
  • Rigel (Orion’s Shining Star Rigel) completed her Beginner Novice title Jan. 9 at SOTC with a 192 and 1st place.  During the Sit Stay the building rumbled as the NY State Fair Grandstand was imploded.  The event rattled her, but she held it together to also complete the Recall with no points off for either exercise.  Pam is so proud of her girl for finishing her BN under these challenging circumstances!
  • Dax finished her Championship and earned her Rally Advanced title on the same day in Hamburg, at the Nickle City Cluster.  Dax is "CH Autumnview's Lieutenant Dax BN RA."  Congratulations Dan & Carey !
  • BARN HUNT: Pi finished 2015 as the top Terv. Pi is CH RATCH X Natl RVC Coyote Run Lambda Lambda Lambda RN PT CA, owned & handled by Eva Raczka.  Deb Eldredge’s Doc finished in the top 5 - GCH Coyote Run PHD TD BN RE NAP NJP HSAdM CA RAT-M.

October 2015 - BBTC Regional SPECIALTY (Springfield, MA)

  • Dax & Dan Bostwick earned a 4 pt major for Winner’s Bitch AND completed her Beginner Novice obedience title (BN) with a 1st place ! 
  • Rigel (CH Orion’s Shining Star Rigel RN PTl) went BOS for 3 points on Thursday, and Select Bitch both Friday and Saturday for 3 and 4 points respectively for 10 more towards her GCh.

oCTOBER 2015

  • Storm (CH Timberwind's Storm in the Sky) & Jeanne King earned the Masters Preferred STD title at the SOTC agility trial.
  • Bugsy & Lorraine report that in 2015 Royal "Temptation's Scared Fire" earned  a CGC, his HIC, HT, and a AHBA JHD herding titles. 
  • Rene's "Temptation's Autumn Rush" earned a AHBA RLF 1 (ranch large flock) title and in 2014 had earned his AHBA Ranch Dog 11.

September 2015

  • Melanie had fun herding at the Belgian Gala. Lyra (Ch Boncoeurs Uplifting Westcroft) co-owned with Bab Hanna picked up both legs for her HT AND Elsa (Westcrofts Riddles in the Dark) picked up her HIC.
  • From Dan & Carey Boswick:  Rigby (Timberwind's Eleanor Rigby BN RA OA AXJ NJP OF CAA CGC) won her first major at Wine Country on Saturday.  Dax (Autumnview's Lieutenant Dax) earned her first set of letters by completing her RN title at Wine Country with scores of 99, 96, and 96.
  • Cindy Graham reports:  Laser "Sensation's Point of Light" had a great weekend at Wine Country.   Sat:  BOW for a 4 pt major with my husband, Nate showing him for the first time in any dog sport.  Then Laser & I earned 1st in Fast Open and a Q in T2B agility.   On Sunday Laser got Reserve in Breed and then 1st places in Open Std & T2B.   So 4 points in breed,  4 Q's in agility w/ 3 1st places.   
  • Ivy & Nellie won Reserve Winners Bitch on Saturday at Wine Country.
  • Obviously Rhonda Hutchinson’s been practicing: Faith earned both her CD and her RE, finishing both titles at the Western Lakes trials. Every leg for both titles was a first place!
  • From Gwen Engler & Nancy Pugh:  all three Spiritwinds’ dogs are in the Top Ten for Herding Rankings in the TNT National Specialty issue.  Frankie (DC De La Corps Parle Francais) is # 1 by just two points over Ginger (Spiritwinds All The Right Moves)!  Perp (Spiritwinds Mastermind) is a very respectable 9th.  Frankie earned that title with a 3 HIT's (2 from the advanced class and one as an intermediate), 1 was the Nationals on ducks and two more HIT's on cattle. The cattle HIT's are especially sweet as she just started herding cattle this spring.  Ginger earned her 2nd place ranking with 3 HIT's and a RHIT!  Perp was not too shabby with 1 HIT and an RHIT.  Also, as our dogs herding talents have grown in 2015, their AHBA titles have followed suit: Perp has 4 new AHBA titles and Ginger has 5. These have been earned working both ducks and sheep.

July 2015​

  • News from Nellie: at the SNKC summer trials at Binghamton, NY  "Song Tao-Yin The Rose De L'Aurore, CD, RE, CGC" (a.k.a Jade) completed her Rally Excellent title.
  • "Orion Dakini of Tao-Yin, RN, CGC" (a.k.a Ivy), completed her RN title at the same Binghamton trials.

May 2015

  • Rigel is now a dual CH; AKC/UKC "CH Orion’s Shining Star Rigel" earned her UKC CH at the Shepherd Spectacular, Albion, NY.  Pam & Rigel were BOB for the Belgians on Friday & Sunday with Group 1 & 4 placements and runner-up for Best of the Best on Sunday.

May 2015 - ABTC National Specialty (GettysBurg, PA)

  • Kate Elderedge and Lynah are Best in Specialty Show!!! Like mother like daughter. A once in a lifetime event done twice! Big congrats to a wonderful team and family!!
  • Vicki McCloud and Breaker ABTC Select Award of Merit!
  • Sandy Blazier and Stewart, winner 4-6 month puppy!
  • Jeanne King and Chase were 3rd in the Veteran Sweeps 8-10 year old class!
  • Rhonda Hutchinson and Faith were 3rd in a very large and competitive Brood Bitch class. Thanks to Ivy and Rigel!
  • *New Title* Nancy Engler and Perp finished their Started B Duck title with a 4th and 1st place.
  • *New Title* Nancy Engler and  Ginger finished their Started B Duck title with a 4th place each day and took 5th place on Started A sheep.
  • Nancy Engler and Frankie wowed the crowd and completed Advanced A Cattle runs both days and was HIT (Cattle/Duck trial) on Course A. This was especially sweet since Frankie was HIT on sheep at the Portland Nationals.
  • Deb Eldredge and Doc were 3rd out of 16 in a star studded Started A Ducks class.
  • Deb Eldredge and Babe were 5th out of a star studded Started A Ducks class.
  • Sally Erbe and Beau were 2nd and 3rd place in Started Cattle, and 5th place in Intermediate Sheep.
  • *New Title* Pam Edgar and Rigel earned their PT title, getting both legs at the nationals.
  • Julie Symons and Savvy were repeat High Combined in agility and finished their MACH2! They also placed 2nd in Open B and 1st in Graduate Open obedience.
